A few things I learned while writing The Clearbrook Murders:
1. I love being alone. But I love being with those I love even more.
2. I learned that deadlines help. A LOT. I’ve always been good at time management, but in writing, somehow time doesn’t exist. I have to set some sort of deadline to tether me back to reality.
3. I learned that I am creative. I always thought I didn’t have an imagination, but writing has surprised me in that way. I am far more creative than I thought I could be.
4. I learned that I can’t do everything by myself. And I don’t have to! Writing a book is way more than a one person job. As they say, it takes a village to raise a person, and I guess the saying is the same for writing a book. I’m so thankful for my village.
5. I can do anything I put my mind to.
